Tanita recently discontinued the 1479 [0-100g x 0.2g] to offer you more
scale for your money. Now, 120 gram weighing capacity and 0.1 gram
readability through-out
the entire weighing range. Now whether
your weigh 10.0 grams or 105.7 grams of gold you'll have 0.1 gram readability
Some scales
like the Ohaus HS120 and many other
pocket scales operate with a dual range function
for readability. This means when weighing item(s) on the
weighing platform from 0 to 60 grams the LCD will increment from 0.0 to
0.1 g, 0.2 g, 0.3 g, ... 59.9 g, 60.0 g. When the weight on the
platform exceeds 60.0 grams (60.1 - 120.0g) the LCD will increment in
0.2 gram intervals automatically. You have no control of this since
the manufacturer has programmed the scale to operate in 0.2 gram intervals
when anything is placed on the platform over 60.0 gram. Therefore,
the display will show 60.2 g, 60.4 g, 60.6, up to 119.6 g, 119.8 g, 120.0
grams. Now the 1479V out does themselves and the competition
with 0.1 gram over the full weighing range of 120 grams.

they are small enough to carry in your pocket. Features feather
touch sensitivity with the accuracy of 0.1 grams, Automatic power shut
off after 3 minutes of no activity and low battery indicator. Ideal

you pay $6.95 S&H for the first scale and $9 for the additional
